Client Download Question
Is there a way to download the full client and not the streaming one?
I'm tired of waiting 10-15 mins at a loading screen every time i switch zones. |

Start -> Run -> "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\gw.exe" -image
Change the directory to wherever you've installed GW. http://www.guildwiki.org/-image#-image

copy your GW shortcut and edit it to add "-image". Run it to do a full download. If you need more specifics, search the wiki for -image.

WARNING--- it does take a bit of time to fully DL the image, but once it is done, loading screens will no longer be an issue

Also note that once you have run -image whilst you will have the full client for that moment in time, when an update comes in you won't have the update files automatically. Thise will stram in as before.
This is not a big issue since most updates are reletively small, and will give you brief pause whilst they stream. However it's worth occasionally re-running -image just to make sure you're not missing bits. This is particularly useful when bigger updates, such as new GuildWars:Beyond content, come in, as on those updates are often larger |
